If you have no idea what Iβm talking about, the FDA made a breathtaking decision to deny MDMA-assisted therapy as a viable treatment for PTSD. Itβs a lot to process. All we know is that Sasha Shulgin is rolling over in his grave right now.Β
Journalist Mattha Busby broke the news for DoubleBlind. You can read that story below! The FDA Officially Denies MDMA-Assisted Therapy as PTSD Treatment
The FDA denies Lykos Therapeutics' push to legalize MDMA-assisted therapy, citing limitations that prevent the agency from deeming the drug safe.
The movement to legalize psychedelic medicine has been dealt a huge setback. Federal regulators in the US on Friday declined to approve an MDMA-assisted therapy protocol for the treatment of PTSD, citing issues with the proposed therapy program and a lack of convincing data.
Officials from the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) said the application for a new drug made by Lykos Therapeutics, the pharmaceutical organization that was formerly the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies Public Benefit Company (MAPS PBC), had βsignificant limitationsβ that βprevent the agency from concluding that the drug is safe and effective for the proposed indication.β

Mira Pharmaceuticals announced positive preclinical results for Ketamir-2, an oral ketamine analog that penetrates the blood-brain barrier better than traditional ketamine and is less likely to cause side effects. Following this, the DEA stated Ketamir-2 is not a controlled substance, leading to a significant surge in Mira's stock.
Recovering alcoholics whoβve opened up about using ayahuasca are facing significant backlash from the Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) community, the New York Post reports. The controversy stems from the core AA principle of total abstinence from all mind-altering substances, including psychedelics and cannabis. Many members believe ayahuasca violates this core principle, even when used for therapeutic purposes.
Most music aficionados are aware of the most well-known bands inspired by psychedelics: The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, etc. But a number of modern pop, hip hop, and electronic artists have similarly drawn upon psychedelic experiences in their creative pursuits. Trip Tales
Everything was black. My consciousness was aware and panicky, but there was nothing physical about me. After what seemed like 10 minutes, colorful geometric patterns and swirls appeared. I thought omg I'm trapped, I began to panic, but quickly I was able to remember that I need to calm down and breathe. The colors were vibrant and changing. Only my consciousness was present. I began to relax and I could feel my breath calming. I was coming back.

Indigenous languages are disappearing at an alarming rateβand so is the knowledge embedded within them.
Earthβs human inhabitants speak about 6,700 different languages. Nearly 60 percent of those languages are spoken by indigenous people, who comprise only six percent of the global population. Often highly localized, with roots in tradition and homeland, indigenous languages mirror the diversity of native cultures worldwide.Β
Yet under the pressures of globalizationβincluding poverty, migration, and cultural assimilationβindigenous languages are disappearing at alarming rates. The United Nations estimates that up to 95 percent of the worldβs languages will be extinct or seriously endangered by the end of this century.
